Take two to blogging with Emacs

I decided to participate in the wonderful Emacs Carnival this month. While I am a little bit late, I still have a good reason - I have not been into blogging for a while.

It has always fascinated me to see all these hackers with their blogs, personal pages, and even project pages maintained with org-mode. I basically tried to do it myself a little bit, converting my personal music review resource to an org-mode export (if you are curious - it is called Baldeagle, but beware - it is in Russian), but I failed to actually write anything new there.

I even managed to hack a little bit on exporting it not only to HTML but also into Gemini. It was not-so-easy and actually introduced some limitations to layout in HTML mode, but it works somehow. As the current code layout is not in place in this blog, here is the link to a Blogs Git repository with the source code and corresponding Guix build. While from a technical point it works most of the time, I considered myself to be too occupied with other life tasks to continue blogging.

However, as I found myself in need of using blogging as a part of my depression and anxiety therapy, this is a great time to restart. Of course, using Emacs and Org-mode for that, as a convenient way to not continue tinkering with all the static blog generators.

What am I going to write about?

Probably some Linux and Guix stuff, maybe some Quality Assurance-related thoughts (I currently still have a day job as a QA Engineer), and also some life and mental health articles, as I progress through my journey of life with mental health issues. Ah, and not to forget - tinkering with Emacs is also going to be covered, without a doubt.

Thank you and sorry for the minimalistic design - it is still a work in progress.
